I’m just wonderin whether Marissa really did die on the OC. I mean, there is no actual evidence yet. I’m in Australia so our episodes are behing USA’s and if Season 4 has already started, has she died? Thanks. Please reply

I love the O.C and think they should not have started so late. Marissa wanted to quit and I think that was there way of getting her off because if she really died I think they would have had a funeral episode.
the writers are obviously not going to forget about the death. the trailer does show ryan in the cememtary.
and about “the donkey show.” it is sick, just type it in a search engine like google and it will give a very descriptive definition

all these new lil kids arrivin, it sucks! i dont wanna follow them, i want the old OC back tht was awesome and won awards 4 the greatest thin on earth!!

The O.C sucks
The OC is the best show on Earth is ages. Whoever said it sucks or it has gone downhill is crazy. The trailer shows it is the best then ever before and those people who winge about how crap it supposdly is should get a life and get over it and stop being so slack to Josh Swartz because his the guy that brought The OC to life.

the OC in season 3 was the biggest flop eva - and u all know tht the first season was the best when JOSH SWARTZ actually wrote the scripts, which he no longer does!!!!

even FOX know that the oc sucks which is why they’ve only allocated 16 episodes that are gonna be spread out, cus they know that its gonna be awfull.

season 3 was terrible, season 4 cant have a very big story line with only 16 eps, its just like catlin asking about donkey shows, its all pointless.
You guys do know that Josh approves of what the writers write. It’s not like Josh didn’t read any of what JJ or Mike wrote. Now most of you hated the Aftermath and the Chrismukah Barmitzvuhkah ep, guess who wrote it? Josh did. The writers made a good choice of getting rid of Marissa Cooper because there’s nothing left for her to do. It will get rid of the on/off relationship between R/M and having someone get in the way of those two.
And tell me, what was wrong with season 3? Cause for me there were some Johnny moments that were bad but other than that it was great, we got to see Anna and Theresa again, we got to see Marissa die, it was awsome. Seth and Summer became closer, the addition of Taylor is great, she brings a lot to the show. I forgot to mention the return of Jess, that was hot. Yea season 4 is going to get 16 eps but who knows, it could get more. Just watch the premiere and enjoy it. I too think this will be the last season just because people aren’t watching it, not because it will suck. And the only reason why people aren’t watching it is because they want it to be like One Tree Hill cause One Tree Hill seems like one long season, the plot never changes unlike the OC. So all you OC haters, fuck off this site and any OC site.

The only people who actually say ‘the oc sucks’ are the people who are against marissa dying. I’ve accepted the fact and once you all accept it you’ll see that The O.C. is in track to a great season. We have the season 1 potential back, just without Marissa. Don’t get me wrong I hated the fact Marissa died at the biggining, but now I think it was for the best. If Marissa would be alive you guys would be complaining how crappy Season 4 is. Rates will zoom high for the premiere and also in Ask Aussellio he said The OC is changing it’s timeslot. Season 4 won’t suck and I know it.

what time slot is the oc going to? because right now it doesnt help the oc being up against greys anatomy, csi, and what ever other shows that are on at 8 central time on thursday. since those shows are so popular right now, hopefully if the oc gets a new time slot, fans wont have to choose between their favorite shows, even though ill be watching the oc for sure.
And the oc is getting a new timeslot as Aussellio said at www.tvguide.com press Columnists and put Aussellio. Search for an O.C. question made by a fan and then Aussellio’s answer is something about The OC crossing over during November sweeps.
I think the people who said The OC has gone downhill are crazy because they dont like changes and changes is somethin a tv show needs. Season 1 was the best but it was the best Season because there was never any season in any show like that but from season 2 onwards people are like “omg this is so boring its going downhill blah blah blah blah” its hard for a show to keep fresh all the time so give josh some slack if it wernt for him there wouldnt even be this site. So is you dont like The OC then piss off and find another site to annoy people and why are u oc-haters even on this site or any OC site to begin with. Get a life.
i personally love The OC. i didn’t get into it until the second season but after i did i was right addicted. mmm adam brody is so hot! check out his band Big Japan! i can’t wait for the third season!!

this is Josh, im taking some time to answer your concerns about the show.
i understand that ‘The O.C’ has received alot of critisism over falling ratings, and the quality of the show, which is why Fox Network have allocated a 16 episode slot. I do realise your concerns for the show, that season 4 may not live up to expectations, but i can asure you all that we have been working very hard to give you an action packed season. ‘The O.C’ had a great first season, and we set our slef’s a high standard to live up to, which as a writer is hard to do. I can promise that season 4 will be full of much entertainment through out, with less emotional drama - by doing this we look to cap off a brilliant tv series. As i have said before that this is the last run of the show, so please dont miss out - and enjoy.

Crune, are u fucking serious, u think that the show is all about kaitlin and luke’s brothers now? I was listening to a podcast and they had a good talk on how the oc ratins dropped down cause of the competition, not cause of the storylines. they mentioned how season 4 of “Signfeld”(sorry, i dont know how to spell it) was the begginning of the fan base. im not sayin season 4 of the OC is the beginning but u haters just have to have faith. season 4 gonna be about kaitlin and lukes brothers, fuckin idiot(im talking to u Crune if u didnt know)

ok this sucks with the show starting so far after marissa dies!!! its gay!!! ok if josh dont write it anymore then yeah it makes sense cuz the show is like changed they might as well change the name cuz ryan is gone marissa is too, well the fab 4 are all gone and i have not idea what the connection is going to be!!! i will most likely keep wathing it just to see what happend but idk… i just think it is gay aka stupid!!! it has no point with the new ppl!!! thats all my rambling for today…
I just watched the trailer we are all talking about and if you watch it again or pause it you will see that Ryan is standing in a cemetary looking at a Tombstone and Juile walks over to him. I think that is pretty good confirmation that Marissa has died and was buried. Look for season 4 to return 4 months after the car accident. As for the other posting above, the show is signed currently for 16 episodes much becuase of the ending of the baseball playoffs and letting the dust settle from the outrage of the loss of Mischa Barton from the show. There has been no offical decision that this WILL be the last season. Much of that will depend on the Season 4 ratings when they are evaluated at the end of this year, so if you OC fans want to keep the show, make sure to turn on your TV and tell your friends!!!

I am really excited about the O.C. starting a new season but really upset it is on at the same time as Greys Anatomy, I was really wondering WHY they killed Marissa off? It seems like forever since this show was on.

obviously what josh writes n aims 2 do is working.. coz evry1 wants more nd expects more from the show. i mean i hate the fact that marissa is gone i loved her the most..and i do think that there could be more to her character. if they can obviously think of everyone elses character they can think of hers..i keep hoping she will make a guest appearance and not really be dead, that would be bettter than nothing, but i stil love the oc more than anything and i actually hope they keep making more than 4 seasons.

This is the worst season of OC, I keep watching only in hopes that it will get better but week after week it just gets worse and worse. They need to fire all their writers and make the show as good as it was in the first season. Or they need to end it before it gets even worse!
