Bilson Lands Big Budget Sci-fi ‘Jumper’

Rachel Bilson is a late addition to the cast of 20th Century Fox’s “Jumper.”
The big-budget sci-fi flick is currently in production in Toronto, with Doug Liman (”Mr. & Mrs. Smith”) directing.
“Jumper” is based on the novel by Steven Gould which focuses on a young man (Hayden Christensen) who discovers that he can escape from his abusive father by teleporting. At first he uses his new-found power to achieve some questionable goals, but after he draws the attention of the NSA, he begins a quest for his missing mother.
According to Variety, Bilson will play the female lead, joining co-stars Samuel L. Jackson and Jamie Bell in the movie, which Fox hopes to make into a trilogy.
In the late summer, seeing the budget swelling and deciding that a potential franchise pic needed a franchise cast, the powers-that-be decided that some recasting was required. Several parts were aged up and the initial cast of unknowns has been swapped for more marketable names. In addition to Bilson stepping in for 20-year-old Aussie actress Theresa Palmer, Christensen was a replacement for Tom Sturridge.

lovely! i like sci-fi, its cool… but this is not so good for rachel and adam… but i hope they´ll work things out… i love them and i love mischa, ben, peter, melinda and kelly.

Ok, so im confused. Is this going to be a new series on Fox, or just a movie starring Rachel?
im not into sci fi movies at all but since rachel is in it im obviously going to see it i hope they keep castong her since she’s a great actress and i would go to see all her movies just cuz she’s in it
