Brody’s Revenge of The Nerds Gets The Axe

20th Century Fox’s stepchild media company Fox Atomic was attempting to remake a cult classic “Revenge of The Nerds” with OC star Adam Brody set to produce but just after two weeks of filming the project has shut down. According to several media outlets the project was axed because the Atlanta-based Emory Univeristy where the film was shooting. Officials at Emory claimed they were uncomfortable with the content of the film and how it disrupted campus activities. Fox Atomic then attempted to move production to nearby Agnes Scott College but that situation did not pan out.
The low budget film was being made for an estimated 12.5 million and is loosely based on the 1984 hit comedy. For now filming has ceased and no word yet on where the project will go from here. Brody was set to produce along side McG with Kyle Newman directing. The cast of the flim included Jenna Dewan, Katie Cassidy from the upcoming Dallas remake, Chris Marquette, Ryan Pinkston and Efren Ramirez who of course everybody knows as Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite.

i bet that show with adam would have been a good one but i dout that many people who wern’t into the oc would have watched it! Still i wish it would have gone further! I love Adam Brody!!!
