Corey Price Lands Role On The OC

After searching high and low I finally found some more cast information for season 4. The new addition I came across is Corey Price, a 19 year-old Louisville, Kentucky native who will play Eric Ward (Lukes Brother) love interest for Willa Holland (Kaitlin Cooper). Corey Price along with his brother Casey (identical twin) graduated from St. Xavier High School in Louisville, KY in 2005. At this time only Corey will appear on The OC but both have been active models for Abercrombie & Fitch, Fox Mobile, Pottery Barn Teen and appearing in the September issue of Teen Vogue with Mischa Barton.

Casey Price still isn’t sure what prompted him to persuade his identical twin brother, Corey, to move to California after graduating from St. Xavier High School in 2005.
But he knows he “just wasn’t satisfied with where we were heading.”
Although the 19-year-olds look similar, with their sinewy builds, thoughtful eyes and striking faces, Corey is the self-professed gambler of the two.
“I like to roll the dice,” Corey said.
However, this time it was Casey who bet they’d get lucky outside Kentucky, and so far
the two are living a model life.
Go West, young men
Originally, “we were going to go to Northern Kentucky (University),” Corey explained during a recent visit home to Louisville.
Yet after visiting Los Angeles during a summer program at UCLA in their sophomore year of high school and keeping tabs on their uncle Sean O’Bryan’s experiences as an actor, the brothers found themselves still dreaming of California.
Last fall, after Casey had convinced Corey and their parents of the merits of going Hollywood or bust, “we just decided to give it a shot,” Corey said.
At first the brothers lived on UCLA’s campus and took general education courses at Santa Monica College. In January, they scaled back their full-time loads to allow time to look for work in acting and modeling.
The hunt didn’t take long.
“We did Abercrombie & Fitch Kids in March,” Corey said, after he and Casey signed with Click Models, which has represented Uma Thurman, Whitney Houston, Elle Macpherson, Phoebe Cates and Grace Jones.
As luck would have it, a casting director for “The O.C.” spotted Corey at the shoot and invited him to try out for a role this fall in the popular teen dramedy — a drama balanced with comedy.
“I went through the first audition and just did a terrible reading,” Corey said. “It was ‘green’ — that’s the term that they use. I was awful.”
Four callbacks and one hour with an acting coach later, and Corey nailed the part.
“When they told me I got it, I had to be in (on the set) the next morning at 6 a.m. It was just wild,” Corey said.
At this point, Corey has no idea whether he’ll appear this season on the Fox series, which is scheduled to debut Nov. 2.
“For all I know, I could be cut out,” he said. “But some of the scenes I’m in are pretty crucial to the plot.”
Corey plays Eric Ward, the love interest of actress Willa Holland, 15, who plays Kaitlin Cooper, the little sister of former “O.C.” star Mischa Barton’s character, Marissa Cooper, who was killed off last season.
Meanwhile, while Corey earned his acting chops, Casey landed a modeling gig with Fox Mobile. He adopted a skater persona for the print campaign, although, he said, smiling shyly, “I don’t skate.”
Casey also got a gig with Pottery Barn Teen. He’ll appear in the Christmas catalog out this fall.
The brothers are still excited about appearing in the September issue of Teen Vogue.
For the shoot, Casey and Corey were flown to the Hamptons and clad in turn-of-the-century clothes for a spread with Mischa Barton.
“I was extremely star-struck when I first saw (her),” Corey admitted.
“I was calm and collected and not like I usually am,” he said.
The experience also brought the brothers face to face with Anna Wintour, the Vogue editor who is profiled in the book and movie version of “The Devil Wears Prada” as an imposing, relentless figure.
Casey and Corey — along with Barton and the other models — dined at Wintour’s home the evening after the shoot.
“(Wintour) was a sweetheart,” Corey said.
Most recently, the brothers were flown to Vancouver — where they once spent summers with their father — and were ferried to a private island for a shoot with the Hollister clothing company.
‘Camera-shy’
Aside from meeting memorable people, traveling and the pay — “which is nice,” Corey said — the teens aren’t sure they’ll continue to model for very long.
“I grew up camera-shy,” Casey said. “Still am.”
“I’m not crazy about it,” Corey said.
But Corey wasn’t exactly crazy about acting, either.
Before landing what he hopes is a recurring role on “The O.C.,” Corey took one acting class.
“I ended up dropping it because, like, I couldn’t handle it. I was too nervous,” he said.
Just before delivering what would have been his first performance in front of his 20 classmates, “I just went outside and got sick,” Corey said. “That was — I thought — the end of my acting career.”
Coming home
Casey and Corey have fond memories of attending St. X, though neither said he strove to stand out academically, athletically or otherwise.
“I got my diploma,” Casey deadpanned.
The twins were “very personable, sociable young men,” recalled senior counselor Bob Glasford. “They were always smiling, a little mischievous. They were on the radar around here.”
Returning to campus this past summer was a rewarding experience, which kind of caught the brothers off-guard.
“When we graduated from St. X, I didn’t have any intention of coming back unless I actually did something,” Casey said.
Since the twins have done lots of things in just one year, the homecoming was that much more meaningful.
Their success doesn’t surprise Glasford.
“I can see them going out there and testing waters and falling into something,” he said.
But Corey said he’s still in disbelief.
“I didn’t think anything like this would happen to us,” Corey said. “I’m extremely proud.”
So, too, is their family.
Their mother, Julie O’Bryan, a bankruptcy attorney at her own firm, said her daughters, Kelley, 17, and Katie, 14, “are so proud of their brothers.”
“But they don’t treat us any differently,” Casey said, prompting a chuckle from Corey.
O’Bryan helps manage her sons’ careers and recently assisted them in a move to an apartment closer to Santa Monica College.
“They share a car out there, and since Casey is taking classes (at Santa Monica College), we thought it’d be easier,” she said.
“The whole experience, it’s truly lucky. It’s been good. It’s been fun,” O’Bryan said.
Despite what could have developed into a fierce sibling rivalry, “they’ve remained the best of friends,” she said. “I’m very proud of both boys.”
Casey and Corey’s father, Dan Price, said he’s “stoked” with what his sons have already accomplished.
But he’s more proud of their initial decision to begin the journey that’s begun to shape their lives.
“To me, just for them to go to school in California was the first big, huge risk for them. Just that alone — forget the other stuff — I’m proud of them for that.”

I agree with Jon. Everyone is saying how bad they think season 4 is going to be and we haven’t even seen it yet. True fans from the start don’t judge it before they see it and they also support the show even with Marissa gone. I still believe the show will be just as awesome as before. Everyone needs to quit judging the show or just quit watching it altogether because if you are going to act immature like that about it then you don’t even deserve to watch it in the first place.

Woah there’s a load of negativity going on here! I think every season so far has had high points and low points, and I don’t really see the absense of Marissa as a guarentee that it will suck… I’m not saying it won’t, but we should just wait and see!
I have to say though, I’m not particularly impressed with the idea of hiring a model that was so bad he needed an acting class, and couldn’t even handle that… oh well!!

All i have to say is that I know Casey and Corey price and they are awesome people. They must have talent to be able to practically walk into modeling without any practice. Most people struggle for years to become famous and have hollywood connections that push them to the top.& isnt it funny that the director himself hand picked corey out of thousands of people he auditioned? Yeah, i’d say that there would have to be something pretty special about him! So for everyone who is doubting them, i just want to say that all his family and friends are here to back him up, and when they become superstars all of the rest of you will regret what you are saying.
