Fox Launches A Save The OC Campaign

A found this little nugget while searching Fox’s OC site yesterday. Fox has put up a site to try and Save The OC and you can sign your John Hancock to show your appreciation for the show. You can also sign up for an email newsletter along with sending an email to lovetheoc@gmail.com and tell them how much you love the show and why it should be saved. Give it a look by clicking here.
The OC is really picking up again and believe me, it’s back with a vengeance. The humour is here again, the season 1 feel is present, and the Ryan and Taylor flirtation (boo yah!!!) is a great new addition to the OC. By keeping strong in the “funny” department as well as providing great storylines each week, The OC’s 4th season has been more promising than ever. If it remains as it is now I’m sticking with it till the end. Let’s hope for another batch of episodes.
I love this show i own season1 2 and 3 and i whatch it every night i fall alseep to it this season is going to be the best if they keep up the intenscity it will be as good as season 1 and 3 but all the seasson are amaing i hope that thisshow will keep on going i need this show to keep on going so SAVE THE OC
My friends and I live for this show every week. We can’t wait to hear Seth’s banter, or see Julie’s amazing outfits. And now that Ryan is getting back to his “I’m the savior” character (ok, so he’s fighting it), this show is definitly IT for me! The kiss last week that he shared with Taylor was smokin hot, and if there is even half the chemistry between them in this week’s episode, it will be the best one yet. The OC must live on!

it’s the best show eveeeeeeer, has the best jokes and the drama it’s just like perfect, who could imagine taylor ryan? nobody and you know what? this is only the begining it’s just gonig to get better I know that and that’s why I’m going to be with the show ’til the end
What can I say the show is definately different, but for those people who fell in love with it the first time you got to be honest with yourselves, it’s still one of the best shows on air. The Cast isn’t all that different, I mean minus Mischa, this show still is amazing. Givng everyone a look at all the possibilities. I got every single episode and I can gaurantee that I’ll be buying season 4. So people get back into your seats and remember what it was like to watch the show that got you up every Thursday morning. Because there’s still something about Ryan, Seath, Summer, Kirsten, Sandy and Julie that make the show just as good as before if not better!
I really hope this show gets at least another 5 or 6 years…I would like more, but how tv works now-a-days more than 10 years is odd…This season started out pretty dark which may have scared some people away…But now that the episodes are getting back to normal I am sure things will pick up…Tons of people watch the show just don’t admit it because of their age and gender, hell I am 24 and I barely admit it.
I have watched every season of the show and love it. Although, I believe it is a bad move to show it in the same time slot as Greys Anatomy, it’s virtually a death sentence for anyone that chooses to challenge this show. I can pretty much guarantee that if you were to air The O.C. on a tuesday night the ratings would soar back up again.

I am shocked and amazed that the ratings are supposedly dropping! I have been a fan of the OC since Season 1. And for me to say I’m a fan of any show is amazing. I am not fond of tv much…the one and only thing I enjoy is the OC. I have loved the drama, humor, characters and story lines. Just bec ause Marissa (Micha Barton) is no longer on the show does not mean that it’s not good anymore. I think Season 4 started out different, but it’s still great nonetheless. To think that Taylor and Ryan may end up together? Who’d have thought that? The passion in their kiss tonight was great, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next. I am really crossing my fingers and hoping that this show will continue for quite sometime. What else will I have to look forward too if not the OC??
the o.c is finally back where it use to be during the first season. give it the chance it deserves and has earned to come back. it needs to be moved to a better time slot and given a chance. market more, cause the procedure that is happening now will kill it. it’s that simple. give it a chance..

After watching season 1 I was completely hooked on the OC. However, after watching season 3 I was almost about to throw up my hands and take it off my Tivo. However, the new season has brought back the same feelings as I had while watching season 1. The humor is back and its not all about crazy plot lines, Marissa becoming a lesbian, or being excessively dark, Marissa dating Volchuc and multiple people dying. It is finally like the sun has broken through the proverbial clouds and it is once again shinning on Newport! I am rediscovering why I originally fell in love with the show. The characters are again easy to love and to connect with. They are facing problems and dilemnas that I can relate to again and that makes it infinately more exciting. So my plea is simple, save the OC as it has definately turned the corner and is on its way back to being the great show that it originally was!

Like many previous emails i have read, the show started off dark, and I was not sure how I fealt but I am a true fan and for sure it is back on my list as #1. I think the writers got it by killing off Marrisa (as much as I miss her) i feel like character was all over the place towards the end. Not her fault but her sister on he show is pefect. OH and I LOVE TAYLOR, LOVE HER.TAYLOR TAYLOR is great.

Sandy and Kiki are better than ever, Seth and Summer… I think after episode 5 people can see they are going to work it out.
I am sad things didn’t go well with Julie and Dr. Roberts, but she really needs to pay more attention to Kaitlin.

I hate to admit it but I’m a 40 year old fan of the show! The friendship between Seth and Ryan, the dynamic between Julie and everyone, the goofiness/greatness of Sandy and (sadly for some)the fact that Marissa is no longer on the show-what’s not to love?

i love the oc this season. its amazzzing like seriously its sick. i LAUGHED last night during it. its just like the 1st season ( which i watch over and over all the time) really guys, think back to season one… season 4 is almost just as good. so everyone should be watching it. we just need to get the people who used to watch it realize that its good again just like the first season. it should be the oc fans goal. now im sounding like a loser but i dont think i can live without the oc every week.

ok the oc is THE BEST show i was kind of scared for season 4 but i was shocked it totally picked up there hasnt been an episode that i didn’t end up crying my eyes out its just so sad so much drama I LOVE IT! but whats annoying is that they r not showing how Seth or Taylor or even Keitlin were affected by Marissas death i mean they were sisters. i think they can keep on dragging the marissa’s death story line a lot more i mean its too soon for Ryan and Taylor i dont think people are ready for it. at least the die hard fans who have been wtaching the oc since the beginign and own everything form the OC (like me)

I have been watching the OC since the pilot episode and has been my favorite show ever since. I have seen every single episode and I own all the seasons. I have posters on my wall. A day without the cohen’s is just not life for me. Don’t deny us the right to new episodes! Just because it is now up against grey’s anatomy and CSI does not mean that it is a bad show! Its a bad time slot, we all must admit. I love grey’s anatomy as well, but I tape it so i can watch the OC on real time. Many people do not understand just how much we devoted fans love this TV show, and it deserves a chance!!!

I am a die hard fan and have watched the oc EVERY thursday since the first episode and own all three seasons so far and i am able to accept the fact that marissa is gone!!! I don’t feel the need for the show to drag on about her, she was a great part of the show but isn’t any more. I wish everyone would just forget about marissa dying b/c it is getting very annoying!! don’t get me wrong, i love misha barton and everything, but i don’t want people to go on and on about her leaving. With that said, i loved this weeks episode and think this season is going to be one of the best if not THE best so far!!! THE BIGGEST FAN EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i would also love if the oc was on for another 5 or 6 years but heard that racheal bilson (summer) wants it to be over j wat i heard dont know if its true anyways i am beginning to accept the fact that marissa is gone only because of this whole ryan taylor thing its “a new era” like in 2nd season. i cant wait till next thursdays.

It has been great this season. I have really been impressed. It feels like the first season again, a fun loving drama with minimal amout of over the top dangerous problems.
The Ryan and Taylor story is amazing, and i can see it going above the relationship of Ryan and “the big M” the OC needs to make a comeback, it needs more time to become as great as it can be.
So far this season has ROCKED, and the best is yet to come.

This needs to be saved. I’ve had this show all through my college. I’ve met tons of freind’s watching this show. I never had freinds when i was growing up in high school and i’ve met my girlfreind because of this show. We now have a special time together every thursday night as a special event or reminder of how much we love each other. Please, do not cancel this.
No other series has ever had such a dramatic grip on anyone who had the luck of watching it. The amazing blend of comedy, tragedy, drama and mind boggling imotional exploration makes this the new Dawsons Creek, the teen drama which creates its own parallel universe in where anyone with problems can both relate to and get lost it….the characters are amazing, the actings great and the plot’s….simply fantastic…. it is without doubt the best tv drama series ever.
I love The O.C. Especially this season, there is so much more to the show then snobby kids living in a rich world. It has an amazing cast and the storyline is well thought out. Comedy, Drama you name it The O.C has it all! This show definetally needs to be saved. What would Thursday nights be like if we didn’t have this amazing show? PLEASE DON’T CANCEL IT! There are so many people that love it! I think this is DEFINETALLY the best TV Drama Series to date.

I’ve been into this show since it first started. It’s all I could talk about, and I own the seasons on DVD. Since the Cold Turkey episode (the last good one), I can see exactly where this season is headed. Sure, maybe trying to salvage the serious mistake of taking Mischa off permanently (instead of sending her away for a few months and then bringing her back — which would have boosted ratings for fans waiting to see her again) with humor and lame new sub characters, but that won’t work for everyone. For me, Taylor’s character isn’t powerful enough to fill the shoes of Marissa’s absence. I feel as if I’m being forced to accept that Ryan is completely fine now and that I should welcome Taylor into his life. The OC writers are shoving this LAME love story down my throat and I’m not okay with it. She is incredibly irritating and someone Ryan is only going after because the writers are MAKING him go after her.
I’m facing facts that I loved this show to death, and now have to leave it behind. I’d rather believe the series ended with Seth and Summer going to Brown and Ryan and Marissa heading to Berkley.
The O.C is one of my favourite shows and I have been watching it since season one. I was a little frightened to see the first episode of season 4 after killing Marissa off the show. It was somewhat of a dissapointment by not showing the funeral of one of the most important characters. I have to say though, the season premiere was very powerful but when you kill off a main character in any show, thats the end! As much as I don’t want to say it, it is true. The show and the characters begin to change. The old Summer, great; the new Summer, not so good. It was hard enough to accept that Marissa was no longer part of the fabulous four, and still, I could live with it and watch the show hoping for it’s success, but to try and replace her with Taylor is just DISAPOINTING! Taylor can not compete.
As much as I love the O.C, the moment Ryan and Taylor become an item, that will be it for me. I don’t wan’t to stop watching the show, but I feel that they should just end the show so people can remember how good the show was, rather than remembering how it fell apart.

you know whats irritating, guys like you who come here to the site and start to tell us some bullcrap that we already heart tons of times. Taylor isn’t irritating at all, marissa drunk or marissa doin’drugs, or marissa messing up things with ryan, hookin’up with volchock, be friends with that gaylord johnny, now that was irritating. As much as i loved marissa on the show, i am willing to give taylor a try and she’s funny and crazy as hell and i’m lovin’it. Season 4 is the best one after the first!

Season 3 was somewhat of a let down during the johnny day’s, but it really picked things up after the death of johnny “in my opinion”..and so far season 4 has really changed “definitely for the good”. In all honesty, season 4 has been some of the best OC yet..and the thought of it leaving is torture. I love the OC, I have not missed an episode yet. I’ve bought seasons 1-3, and I’m very much looking forward to the rest of season 4, and future seasons! So let’s keep the OC coming!!! Thx..”possibly an idea would be to change it to a time when Grey’s isn’t on, so we get most of the viewers back.”

The OC can not be cancelled..I look forward to watching it every week, and was really bummed when it wasn’t on Thanksgiving. I admit the show was at a rocky start when the season first started but it is picking up. After last weeks episode it’s really picking up, Ryan is slowly getting back to his old self, after trying to fight it, he’s moving on, which at first I was not happy about, but he needs to move on. Seth and Summer are going to work things out. This season needs to be completely finished, it can’t be stopped in the middle of the season, at least finish this season out, but I would love for future seasons to happen..I love the oc, and I agree with the one viewer, we should change the time so it isn’t on when Grey’s Anatomy is not on, i think that’s another reason we lost so many viewers, so if we change the time or the day i think we could bring back some of our viewers and the shows ratings will go up again. I’m a fan to the end.. PLEASE DON’T CANCEL THE OC!!!

I’m 16 and a inspiring young writer and everytime i watch this show it gets me going with new ideas for the week! I see how many people have left the show and they say its dull! The OC in my opinion is doing great with the whole taylor(good girl) and Ryan (bad boy) mismatch but need more characters and more hot girls! I say bring Shannon Lucio back from Season 2 or something that would shock us! Get Ryan in school and fighting more guys over girls and please trying to saw the cohens are trying to keep ryan from his old ways! he’s been ut of that life for 4 years now give it up. I love this show but its too predictable! Make more shockers but not like a soap! keep people guessing! I hope some day I’m signing with Fox to create a a tv drama show! I love this show please continue this show! Thanks fan to the end hopefully never end but till that day every season is on my shelf and The o.c. everynight its on im watching the #1 station that has the #1 show The OC!!!!

I just adore this show. Fox seriously needs to order up more episodes and give us another season at the very least. The OC is back and it’s great, it’s fresh, exciting and funny. Fox needs to step and do something in support of this show and I truly don’t see them doing enough. As a viewer I’m completely dissatisfied with the way The OC is being handled, where’s the promotion. How come Fox isn’t doing everything that they can to reel in new viewers. Why aren’t they airing the Season episodes 1 through 5 all over the place and seeing what shakes out. Make a play for airwaves, follow the example being set by Grey’s Anatomy, show the show all over the place. Jeez Louize, Fox is showing repeats of the now defunction Justice on Friday, SHOW THE OC, REEL VIEWERS BACK!!! Do Something!! Do it now! I don’t get it~

The OC is my favorite show! They need to give it one more season. They just have to get back into things now that Marissa is gone. Marissa was a big part of the oc and loosing her hurt the show but I think they can come back. It is starting to get better!

I’m sure the reason you wrote on this site was because you had an opinion that you wanted to share. As you can see, so do others. We are all huge fans of the show but sometimes you just have to let things go. It is not the same and I don’t understand why so many fans of the OC, as it was, can not see this. If all of the Marissa episodes were irritating to you, how did you get through all the seasons loving it so much? Also, if she was so irritating to you and she was one of the main characters, surely you can imagine how so many people feel about Taylor.
Take any other television show where a main character had left and ask yourself how long it lasted before it bombed. This is not because we don’t want to watch the OC any longer, there is nothing more that I would like to do than continue to watch the OC; but not like this. It’s not the same and it’s not better than any of the other seasons.
Sorry if our opinions bothered you, but it’s simply reality. No one wanted the show to come to this point!

No it didn’t bothered me, i’m just dissapointed that many of you all don’t like taylor—>people stop watching—-> bad ratings! I know i said irritated but that’s a lill excessive! I still kept watchin’it! The period with johnny and volchock in season 3 wasn’t that bad. I was dissapointed that marissa messed up with ryan and stuff but it caused a lot of drama and that’s what i love about the oc. Marissa has gone from good to worse and in the last episodes she was doin better again. And it’s not only about marissa? What about Ryan and Seth time… Sandy and kirsten time… Sandy at work time… Sandy Seth..Seth Summer.. Summer Seth Taylor..Julie en Neil..there’s a whole lot more than marissa. And the same for Taylor i understand that people think it’s dumb they killed marissa, but is that a reason to say fuck the oc? im gonna stop watching it? Or taylor is stupid i’m gonna stop watching it? I thought that Oliver guy was pretty annoying to! But i didn’t stopped watching it back then! I would have missed ryan leaving and the seth declaring his love for summer, i wouldn’t see modest mouse perform in the bait shop etc. If you stop watching now you will miss summer en seth’s wedding, for example!..

The OC kicks ass! Johnny and Oliver were really booring, but now it´s gettin fun to watch again. Let the show continue for a while!
You just gotta love the show. It’s one of the things I’ll always remember from my teenage years. It has the potential for many more seasons. It really started to pick up these last episodes and should get renewed.

I value your opinion. You seem very smart and willing to understand how others feel. Other forums have people yelling at each other.
Taylor can’t be compared to Oliver of Johnny, though. We both knew there was something fishy about them and that they weren’t permanent.
Now that Taylor’s a regular on the show and into her second season, there’s no way they’ll be getting rid of her. She’s meant to fill the void of Ryan’s love interest. And for those of us who felt the writers did an amazing job piecing together the best romances I’ve seen on the small screen alike, it’s hard to see it all mean nothing in the end. What was the point of building up the Ryan and Marissa relationship into one of the most angst-driven, beautiful, and emotional things I’ve ever seen only to throw it all away? For those that hated Marissa, I can understand why you’re ready to move on. But for those that really enjoyed what she contributed to The OC, everything that comes after her is just disappointing. It won’t sit well with the majority of fans and for people who only watch the show sporadically. That is why the ratings are low, and for good reason. Also, pinning it against Grey’s Anatomy with a main character missing is a death sentence.
And knowing that Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson are no longer together now is just plain upsetting. None of it lasts in the end….

Despite everything i still watch the show! still lovin it, all the scenes and music from the oc is just perfect! and i want to extend my musiclist just a little bit more! also wouldn’t wanna miss the wedding for the world! Anyway, I keep watching because of the music. And of course I like some moments in the show. I think a reason I’m so senstive to this Taylor mess is because I watched the entire third season right before the first episode of Season 4 came out. I was in a certain “mood” from that, saw that the 4th season was responding to how I felt, and then moved pretty quickly into the Ryan/Taylor plot. These two just never will compete for me.

I recently found this website, which is very good and up to date, but to my horror of finding it I read terrible news that the OC needs saving!!!….. but why? its genius! this show is amazing, and schwartz is obviously a very clever man! the first season about Ryan joining the Cohens was brilliant and unique, and from then on i’ve been hooked! usually i wouldn’t like this kind of show, but the fact that the producers and writers have their heads screwed on, I know that every episode is worth a watch, and always puts a smile on my face!
I may of had my doubts about season 4 after marissa died, but i apologise as it’s been truley outstanding from the 1st episode! keep up the great work….

i love the oc so much it is my favorite show and its been my favorite show ever since season 1 i think they should have made marissa go to her dads and then later on come back but then i think about it and i dont know if i want her back as much as i loved her and ryan and i still do trust me marissa will never be forgoten in my mind but sometimes change is good not all the time but sometimes its a good thing to start something new and i feel like thats exactly wats happening i am a real marissa fan no doubt about it but sometimes tha marissa stuff did sort of get irritating especially in season 3 with johnny i hated that but nvr wanted her to die and now that she did and the show is still goin i think shwartz has balls.

hi there.i m from portugal and i m a huge fan of oc. i never miss an episode. here oc is on 3rd season. was the worst season ever comparing with season 1 and 2. but i ve watched a few episodes from new season and it´s really awesome. back on tracks. i hope at least fox conced a new oportunity coming with a new batch of episodes.
i think jacy idea was good that marrisa whent to her dads but the car crash was a good way to end the show. but i think it should have been the same but she just whent in a coma then whent to her dads then like after 16 shows marrisa came back that would have rocked.

To the people at FOX: Please don’t cancel the OC! The OC is the best thing to happen to network television since Beverly Hills 90210. Do the ratings suck right now? Well, yes they do and that’s because FOX put the show on a crappy night. You should of left it on the same night as it always was. Or put the show in a time slot where it doesn’t have competetive shows. The OC has a lot of potential. There could be many, many more storylines to have. The people at FOX need to give some shows a chance. All they want to do is cancel damn good shows. Look at: Tru calling, Wonderfalls, Point Pleasant, and etc…Please don’t cancel the OC. Believe me, it has potential! Just give it a chance and find a way to spice up the ratings. there has to be a way
Although I really enjoy watching the O.C., it’s a shame that it has to be on the same time as my other favorite show, Grey’s Anatomy, as well as CSI:Crime Scene Investigation. Both of those shows have huge fan bases, and I hope that FOX gives the O.C. a chance on a different night, with not such stiff competition. I definitely hope this show is not canceled!!!

I have been watching the OC with my wife since the first episode 4 years ago. We love the show, and I now I it is better than ever. I was getting a little tired of the Merissa Ryan routine where there was a fight or a misunderstanting every week last season but now that she is gone, Taylor finally gets to shine. I think she is the best character, and I am glad she is finally playing a key role. This way, we get to see her every week. The chemistry between her and Ryan is great. This is my favorite season so far, so please do not cancel this show, it has so much potential.

This season of the oc is fantastic. Specially the last two episodes. I’ve particularly started to like taylor, and wish they hook up. Its brilliant this season, probably the best yet. I luv it nd hope there will be at leat one more seaon after this when i satrt college. SAVE THE OC. Its brilliant.

Please…Keep the OC on TV. Its my favorite show, I buy all the seaons. I don’t have cable at my house, so its one of the very few decent shows thats are regular programming.
It is true that parts of season 3 almost made me give up on this show… But I decided to give it a chance, and although season 3 ended pretty dramatically, it was still captivating. Season 4 did start a bit dark, but now it’s becoming the funny well-scripted pleasant show to watch again. That’s what made the show so special (season 1). The plot lines are original again. And I can’t think of any characters that is annoying. I’m even starting to really like Taylor’s character. Anyway, I truly believe that the oc should live on. SAVE THE OC. At least for another season or 3…

Please dont axe the show i hated Marissa and i was so happy that she was killed off (as emotional as it was for Ryan) she couldn’t act. The rest of the characters are great and i think the show will go fantastic with the great team that you have now.

The OC is the best show ever! It is so well done! Season four is getting better and better after every episode! As long as the OC isn’t running up against another really popular show like Grey’s anatomy then it will do really well, trust me everyone in Australia watches both the OC and Grey’s anatomy BECAUSE they are not on the same time slot!

mama jane (51….:) SAYS u gotta keep the OC going….it was a little slow early this season but I see the story lines starting to pick up now that most of them have done their grieving over Marissa. There’s lots of variety in the characters. It’s great fun to watch.
