Ratings For The OC and Other Shows

Is The OC back, well lets not say that yet but they did get another 1 million fans to tune in last week to ’The Summer Bummer’ episode which gave them an average of 4.6 million viewers for the week. This does not usually happen to shows that are on the decline and lets face the facts people, The OC has been sub par in the way of ratings this season with numbers in the 3.5 million range for most of the season. Maybe this is a sign that things are starting to pick up around The OC. I know one things for sure the episodes are starting to get interesting with all the new plot lines, lets just hope it can sustain the viewers and even get more to watch. We will have to wait till next Thursday to find out.

“CSI” was the night’s top show in viewership and adults 18-49. “CSI” averaged 23.7 million viewers and a 7.9 rating/19 share in the demo, according to preliminary estimates released Friday by Nielsen Media Research. Its rival, “Grey’s Anatomy,” averaged 10.5 million viewers and a 4.0/10.

Fox averaged 4.8 million viewers and a 1.8/5 in the demo for an original and repeat episode of “Til Death” while “Smallville” averaged 4.5 million viewers and a 1.8/5. “The OC” averaged 4.6 million viewers and a 1.9/5; “Supernatural” delivered 3.2 million viewers and a 1.3/3.

Nightly averages: ABC (9.2 million, 3.1/8); CBS (18.3 million, 5.9/15); NBC (9.9 million, 4.4/12); Fox (4.7 million, 1.9/5); and The CW (3.8 million, 1.5/4).

I love the O.C and I’ve loved it from day one and lets face it as pretty as Misha Barton is Marissa’s character was not doing much for the O.C. All these people ever did was find themselves in love triangles and now the plot is something more orginal. This season started out slow but now it’s getting so much better and I hope they do come back for a season 6.

Oh Sami, if YOU were a real OC Fan you would alrady know a little about next weeks episode (gotten from tv ads and NOT spoilers of course) and the chances of Marissa (Mischa even) being back are quite high. Lets just say the show is trying an alternate reality thing, in which many things are different, including Marissa not being dead.

Fan from Argentina here! That episode is one the worst–”Summer Bummer”, really what a bum! but i’m glad that the O.C. is fighting to stay. Can’t wait for the next episode to come.

Again, I love the OC, but that episode was fairly dissapointing. As I read above, there were 1 million more people who tuned into the OC on Thursday for the Krismukah episode. Did anyone ever take the time to think that it was probably because the previews for that episode led everyone to believe that Marissa would be on it… Everyone I talked to thought that she would be!

Ok JUMP THE SHARK this note was published on dec 11, the episode where marissa was suppossed to be, aired on dec 14. The raiting is from the past episode… so it has nothing to do with marissa’s coming back

I was pretty sad when Mariisa died and thought the show was gonna sink……but i was really wrong!!! Im on episode 7 ( which was AMAZING!!!!) and things are looking very good for the OC…lets just hope it gets even better…and btw Marissa doesnt come back…and if she did it would make the show kinda stupid. Remember guys, we dont want the OC to turn into Days Of Or Lives lol!!!!!!!!!

The OC is back and better than ever, but there is rumor that this is the last season. That stinks really bad and another thing . I love CSI, but hello .. the reruns are on every night and every day at least three times.

If you want the CSI fans back to the OC, you need to change the days.

i wouldn’t be able to live if the oc ended. I really do love the show a lot. To some people that might sound pathetic but to everyone else out there that knows exactly what i am saying understands, right?? Well, i really hope the oc continues to get higher ratings. People are finally coming to their senses and are starting to watch the show.

well to start off the oc is great…but something is missing!!!the storyline is kindda dull, and where is the excitement???the best episode so far was the 6th one…it brought back the OC spirit…PARTY and fucked up lifes.
I want a season 5 and i fell they should find someone to bring back marissa, coz there is no action, an dnowone to fuck up their little perfect lifes!!!

i love the new couple! im a real oc fan but i have to say that i hated season 3 it was awfull so far from original… but now without mischa everything it’s getting better! let’s face it taylor is a great carachter far ahead from marissa! i just love taylor/ryan relationship

OMG some of u guys are talkin crazy marissa did so much for this show!!! she molded ryan n got them all together her dieing was the worse thing they ever did to the oc dont get me wrong i like taylor but i dun like her as ryan girlfriend this is not her territory n her character is annoyin n seth n summer are the best on the show other then ryan n marissa but she gone now n allthough i think it was cute how he perposed to her i jus think purposeing to her is gonna make em boarin n it might be a sign of the o.c ending n i would absolutly die i have all the seasons n i wach em all the time n i am the biggest o.c fan me my sister n my best friend we love the oc n i hope theres a season 5!!!!!!
