The OC Mix 6 - Covering Our Tracks

It looks like December 5th is the day Mix 6 : ‘Covering Our Tracks’ will be released by Warner Bros. Keeping with the indie theme the CD features twelve indie type bands covering twelve other artists songs, hence the ‘Covering Our Tracks’ album title.
One of my personal favorites will be on the cd, Imogen Heap’s acapella version of “Hallelujah” from the final scene of Season 3 when Ryan is carrying off Marissa’s body. Mix 6 will also include Mates of State doing a cover of Phantom Planets ‘California’. Check out the full list of all twelve tracks after the jump.

so basically the cd is remixes!!!??
have all those songs been played on the OC by the original artists cause i recogonize a lot of them

So basically we’re just going to here a bunch of songs that we must have heard a lot of times before, but by a different artist. Yes this get me so excited! Not.
And why the fuck does Lady Sovereign have to be on it. It’s a disgrace I tell u.
Let’s hope the team knows what they’re doing. I will probably still get it, but I’m skipping Lady Sovereign’s song.
i actually like the idea of covers, i mean all the previous covers featured n other cds are some of the best to me.

i agree whit max and joey. it seems like it would be a great cd! and i mean halleluja is the best oc song and imogen heap is amazing! i mean, have you heard hide and seek, the song they play when trey gets shot? thats imogen heap! amazing to me
Has anyone heard that The OC now has fragrances inspired by the show? Pretty awesome, I can’t wait to try them.
Why isn’t Imogen Heap’s Hallelujah mentionned in the list?

I’m so pumped for this CD! I love covers, I guarentee it’ll be amazing! and, I don’t know if you guys have noticed or not, but pretty much every song on the o.c. is a cover, well most of them atleast. Enjoy!!
not really courtney, i mean yea with matt ponda pa doing oasis cover, ryan adams doing oasis cover, phantoma planet doing a young, stills, nash cover. and yea u got nada surf doing a cover, but other than that they’re all originals
Most of the songs normally played are NOT covers but some of the really memorable songs used, have been covers.

I really think that haliluya or how ever you spell that by imogen heap should be on there. that song made me cry in the season finale, and it is a remake!
sounds okay but would have been better with some of the songs from the series such as “Hallelujah” and “For The Widows In Paradise, For The Fatherless In Ypsilanti” by Sufjan Stevens these are awsome tracks and should be on
Ive actually found other song lists to mix 6 saying it has 22 tracks on it the list down below i found on google,id still but mix 6 if it has cover but id rather it be the songs from the actual show

Sounds good. I will buy it to go with the other 5 i have, the books, and all 3 seasons. But people are right it is all covers and Syd Matters is on there but he sang ‘To all of you’ in the OC when it was Prom not the cover of Hello Sunshine which is from Mix 2 i think? And where is hallelujah by Imgoen Heap? I have downloaded it already but it is not on the list?? Can’t wait until Season 4! Does anyone know when it is England? I know it is out in America on 2nd November. I guess it will be in january. Going to be amzing…Missing Marissa though

I just watched season four’s first eppisode and I LOVE the music on it , I was wondering if anyone could tell me who the group is and what the song is called. It’s at the beginning and the end of the show.

I GOT A SNEAK PEAK ON Indie 103.1 In Los Angeles..I heard Goldspot’s “Float On” and It is INCREDIBLE. Original, California, and Just plain cool.
