Willa Holland Takes On The Bad Girl Role

Following in the footsteps of Mischa Barton, actress Willa Holland is Newport’s newest bad girl on Fox’s hit drama “The O.C.”
Holland plays the troublemaking little sister of Barton’s character, Marissa Cooper, who was killed off in a shocking season two finale.
Playing a girl with a bad rep can be a lot of fun, says the 15-year-old actress, who is the step-daughter of director Brian De Palma.
“She can get away with things I would never be able to do in my life — things I don’t even try to do because I know they won’t happen! She’s the bad seed that gets away with whatever she wants,” Holland says in the new issue of Teen magazine, available Nov. 7.
Still, what good is it to play a bad girl when you don’t have a partner in crime? When Barton’s character was killed off the show, “I was sad about it,” she tells the magazine. “I mean, she was my sister. I was wondering where the story would go from there, but it’s all planned out.”
Holland’s warm welcome to the “O.C.” fold was apparently all planned out as well.
Her first day on set “was the most nerve-wracking day of my life,” says Holland, whose previous TV credits include Lisa Kudrow’s recent TV series “The Comeback”. “The ride (to the set) took an hour and the whole time I was wondering if the cast was going to like me. I was so nervous. But when I got there, everyone was welcoming and there was a bouquet of flowers and a gift basket in my dressing room that said, ‘Welcome to the family.’”
Being a member of this family means she must follow the rules by not divulging any upcoming plot twists.
“Josh Schwartz, the show’s creator, would definitely kill me. I have that written in my contract,” she says.
But she’s open when asked which “O.C” guy she’s partial to, Seth or Ryan.
“I will always be on the fence about that one. I will never be able to choose,” she says.

i dont like her character on the oc i think its cheesy and im really disappointed in the 1st 3 episodes i hope it will get better!

After watching tonights episode (9/16)it seems like the writers are trying to hard to make a scandal with Willa, especially after she saw Julie (her mother) in the nightclub…….

i think that willa is trying to hard to be the “bad girl” and i really don’t think she is pulling it off! I love marissa and wish she wasn’t gone, but i guess i just need to face the facts that she is dead and is not coming back, so long marissa!!!

Why Mischa Barton leaving The O.C.? Because she is fed up with working on the The O.C., and is said to be trying to find any way to get out of the show that according to The New York Post.
And this the reason why she want to leave the show :
“Barton, worried about the show’s spiraling ratings - and concerned about being typecast as a bratty teen - frequently calls in sick or arrives late to the set, according to a report in Life & Style magazine.
The publication quotes insiders who work on the show as being annoyed by Barton’s sickouts and tardiness - especially since she’s been known to hit the town and party hearty (and is the frequent subject of gossip-column items).
“She’s definitely flirting with leaving the show,” says one source. “But the real problem now is that she isn’t taking work seriously.”

I love watching season 4 The O.C. and I love all the cast that playing in The O.C. too and the script are still getting better and better and better.
I love all the three hottest chick that play in The O.C. Kaitlin, Summer & Taylor.
My favourite one is Willa Holland she is should hot, pretty, cute, beutiful, smart and she is a sweet. But I can’t believe that she is only 15yrs old that so very young.

I think that Kaitlin is mini-cooper because she is the replacement for Marissa anyway. She gets a long with Taylor. She found an ugly dog that she thinks it is cute on the day before Thansgiving day gave it back to an owner. She is even a loving caring person .She smoke pot because ahe was mad that her sister always gets the attention and shegoes to a boarding school since she was twelve. She hangs out with Luke brothers that are twins because she skips school a lot and can’t socialize a lot.
i think u go girl shez gonna be a better bad girl than Marissa. Marissa was bad but still she was more the girl next door, Katlin is gonna be the girl robbing the girl next door. Ps she is so hot im a teen soo im allowed 2 like her 15 in may. woo
