Adam Brody Wants A Spin-Off Series of The OC

The O.C. star Adam Brody has been “in mourning” since the teen drama was axed, because of poor ratings.
But girls all over the world will be happy to know the handsome face may be back on our screens sooner than we thought… as he hopes to front a spin-off series.The actor starred in the series for four years and loved his “geeky” character. And now he wants to resurrect the role of Seth Cohen in a new show, reports contactmusic.com.
He said: “I’m still waiting for the spin-off. He needs one.”

I think it would be alright but I miss the oc sooo much…theres just no other show that could ever top the OC! Yea I think he should stick to being Seth Cohen for now anyway. I saw his new movie this weekend “Land of Women” and while Adam’s performance was good, he IS Seth Cohen and that is all I could think about while watching him on the big screen.
The movie was pretty bad and didn’t really have a plot. Don’t waste your money on it! It is not what you think it will be and is pretty depressing and a waste of time.
I will say that it is not because of Adam or even Meg Ryan for that part, there is just no supstance to the script. Adam’s future in movies should be a good one, his acting is good and there are some Cohen laiden jokes and comments, but I kept feeling like it needed Summer and Ryan to enter the scene and provide us with the entire O.C. Team.
Final thoughts. We all miss the O.C.
Adam’s performance in “land of women” is good much like Rachel Bilson ’s in “the last kiss” but don’t waste your money to go see it….

This isn’t true. They took it out of context. He actually said that he would only appear in the spin-off if his career ever went downhill. And even then he would struggle…its not that he didnt love it. Its just it would take a lot fo him to come back

i liked summer roberts. but i dont liike rachel bilson she was wanting out of the oc for 2 seasons now to make films but yet she was in The last kiss and that was the WORST film ever made…. and now that the oc season 4 just finished tonight i looked back on it and enjoyed season 123 but this season was not on the same levell like it made 10 epps less than season 123 it was rushed dipressing with marissa dieing and they was no time for like eating bagells i liked litle bits like that Not taylor divorcing her french husband 2 over the top. And they had no time to eat pancakes they did’nt go to bake shop seth was’nt the geek we all loved he grow up lost his geeky funny side a bit Noo killing marrisa killed the oc no doubt f josh sh… would’nt of tried to take a big risk in killing the main thing of in the oc mybe we would have got 5 seasons and josh would have gained a lot more money… so in a way josh ruined it.

You got it right! Obviously you don’t live in the USA since season 4 just ended for you, it ended over 2 months ago here. You are correct when you say the season was rushed, granted they lost 10 episodes to tell their story this year, but I remember thinking after the third episode of season 4 that they were wasting valuable time to wrap the show up properly with worthless storyilines like Taylor’s French husband and Bullet and Band geeks, when they should have been taking the story further with Ryan’s family, Sandy’s job, Julie and Ryan’s father and where these characters end up. They even spent 90% of the last episode on total nonsense and then wrapped up the entore series in 8 minutes when they should have been doing in 8 episodes. Yes, as a beloved O.C. fan this entire journey has been hard to imagine how they messed up so bad!!!!!!!

Sounds like an off the cuff jokey comment to be honest. I really wish it were true, because it would have had great potential. But if they axed the oc, why would they want to make a new show using one of it’s key elements. Why axe it in the first place, if they were going to bring it back!? Also, nobody seems to be recognising the fact that the writers wrapped it up to like 5 years or so in the future… did anybody else notice summer and seth getting married?

fact of the matter is, series 4 sucked. the whole dead marissa angry ryan thing got old. taylor’s quirks got old. the whole geeky seth comic book fan thing got old.
the only thing that didnt get old was Sandy Cohen, truly the best character in the OC.
Ryan has moved onwards and upwards, Marissa is dead, Seth and Summer have got married etc… they showed you too much at the end for there to be a successful revival. a spin off/revival just isnt plausible cos now you know too much about what happened after.

All the ideas are pretty dumb guys, no affence. I love the o.c just as much, if not MORE then all of you. but we all need to come to a realization that the O.C will never come out and that there will be no spin off, espically with the same characters. Adam brody will never be allowed to play another “geek” shall i say in another teen drama beause it would make it too much like the o.c and will not sell( hence bad ratings) I work for a big television network in the U.S, so i know how these things work. There will be another teen drama like this one, first it was 90210,the o.c, we just have to wait and see whats next. I love the o.c with everything i have, but all we can do it watch the seasons on dvd. season 4 comes out on tuesday, i cant wait! Sorry to burst anyones bubble but we just have to realize there will never be anything like the o.c again, as much as it kills me inside to say that

The only reason the OC got poor ratings was because they killed Marissa. Although they shouldnt of done it season 4 was still class and if people gave it a chance everyone would of been surprised. Im up for a new season but spin offs usually end in tears
I want everyone to now that I am a 40 year old woman that did not even know what the OC was untill a couple of days ago when a friend of mine ask me if I had ever saw the OC? Yes, The O.C. coming back would be the most amazing day of my life. But I agree that Taylor shouldn’t come back. In my opinion, she ruined the fourth season… kind of. Ryan and Marissa, not Ryan and Taylor. And yeah, Marissa should definitely still be alive even though it’s pretty much impossible.

The OC is a great show i enjoyed the first 2 seasons alot 3 was ok but abit dark and boring in some parts, but season 4 was a joke is your going to do anything rewrite season 4 with the orignal actors. Ben Mck, Mischa Barton, Racheal bilson, and Adam Brody the perants etc.

They well should make another one, Seth Cohen is the funniest character in the series but i think if they do make a spin-off it should include Ryan.

im soo sad that the OC is over..i really want them to bring it back..it was the only show that i really looked forward to watch every week….im soo dissapointed that they ended it ..just b/c they didnt have much rating i think they should still bring it back ….i know soo many ppl that are really upset that it is over…please bring it back…

I just wanne say, (sorry for my crapy english), that I love the o.c. Yeah I’am a guy, but it got me hooked.. A spin off is not a good Idea and it never happens..
I also wish that the o.c. would come back but.. pitty it isn’t, we all have to deal with that, buy the seasons so you can watch it when ever you like, and be satisfied with the episodes you got..

ummm, yeah well i must admit i really like Seth and all of the other actors and im really Really gutted that the OC had to end
But i do think that Rachel and Adam will become a really good couple together, i hope so anyway !?!
I also had a really wierd and i mean a really wierd dream last night, it was about me and my friends going out to buy my mate a birthday present when all of a sudden my mate lost her keys in the taxi, so we looked up where that taxi driver was and he was in AMERICA. We all looked at each other really puzzled and then my mate said ” we have to go get them” . Each of my mates told there parents but my mum was in work, i tried to contact her but there was NO signal at all. As we lived in Wales and my dream is to live in California one day, i decided to just go with my mates to America !?!? Once we got on the plane it was a great flight apart from taking off i didnt feel too good then !?!? We finally got to our hotel, i dont remember the name but it was a very posh hotel with marble stairs and floors. Well we went around the towns to explore and we got to this really private area with palm trees surrounding the houses, and i saw Mischa Barton running to a car on her driveway and i was dead excited to see her, i wanted to go over there to meet her but my mates pulled me back in! She could see us so she kinda curiously walked over to us! She said to us ” hey can i help you ” so i said ” yeah were looking for a taxi with car keys on it” We then made friends with her and she showed us round her house, until the doorbell rang and Seth came to the doorway! I ran downstairs to meet him and he looked really confused he asked Marissa who we where and she told him the whole story! Then Set became our friend and we all went outside to start looking! Suddenly the whole world changed and we were in this wierd freaky guys house, he was all dressed in black and his house was dark old and dusty.
He offered us a drink and some chocolate so we all took a piece! Me and seth got on quite well and had a laugh even though we werent meant to because the guy was really strict! I was the last one to walk through and i started to choke on this piece of chocolate, it felt like there was this metal ball in it. I was choking for around 4 minutes and seth came up to me and tried to help me but then my face turned blue so mischa took me through to the toilets and eventually got it out of me! ( Thank you )
After that we all got to go outside and we were just waundering about and then somebody started shouting ” THERE HE IS” and they started chasing after seth, Seth legged it down this little dark alley way and they were coming out the other end! In the end we all fought them off! GO US, GO US !! After that it was turning 8pm and i had to be back home in Wales by 9pm never mind being here in America with mischa and adam! Most of my mates had to be in by whatever time they like! Why did i have too be the odd one out!?!? Anyway we said our goodbyes and took off from the airplane! I asked how long the flight was back home and my mate said 4 hours but thats ok isnt it? I said “NOOO i have to be in by 9pm and its 8:30pm now, it’ll be 1am in the morning by the time im back, my mum will kill me!?! After that we were all back home, i snuck into my house creepped to my bedroom to find my mum crying on the bed! I went up to her to cuddle and she started screaming to me saying WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN, IVE BEEN WORRIED SICK, i said to her “i did try to phone you but there was no signal at all! Then i just woke up, back to reality! I really wish that the dream happened, but not with my mum crying and screaming at me! Who knows what a dream could mean !!!! Anyway good luck with all of your careers seth and who knows you all might reconsider acting out in the OC ! ! I also hope that Ryan Atwood / Benjamin Mckenzie will not be miserable in series 5 ( if you make one ) He has a gorgeous smile, DO NOT WASTE IT WITH A MISERABLE FACE !! smile show them your real you! Hello to all fans and to (I hope) some of the actors who take the time to read this blog. I would really love another serie of the OC or another version of it. When I think about the show, I get weird feeling in my chest, like it’s a part of me that has died. I know it sounds “cheesy”(like Marissa would have said), but I really felt a connection towards all the characters. Seth was like a worse version of me, and I could really feel Ryan’s emotion and than Marissa, who I thought was annoying most of the times, but who I misses a lot after she died.
And than there is Summer… Allthough shallow(in the beginning) that girl really touched me.. especially her look in the last episode were seth and summer spil up(she’s going to GEORGE). And well Julie, Kirsten, Sandy…
When I watched the show I got the feeling that none of the actors was really playing a role. It felt like they ment it.
So… let me just say, if you guys start a new season, me and a lot of friends of mine would sure watch it… make it good and use a lot of thing from the old OC, because that is what people want… that is what would make me happy anyways.
I will miss you guys and I want to thank every actor for the great amusement and feeling they gave me.
i love the oc so damn much!! i mean am addicted to the frkn series i swear!! eventhough i finished them… i still have the same adiction.. my whole life relates to the O.C.. i wish i can meet the satrs of that series… and to all that are reading… encourage everyone who hasnt watched it to watch it asap!! i looooooooooooooove oc, and mostly mischa barton.

I think it’s a great idea as long as Ben Mckenzie is in it too. I LOVE HIM! He is such a good actor and is pretty dang easy on the eyes! Seth wouldnt be Seth without Ryan Atwood!!!!!!
just an idea… Maybe you should think about making a serie about Ryan adopting the kid (which he asked if he wanted helpin the last scene).
Than Summer and Seth could have some marital problems(maybe a baby of their own). Kirsten and Sandy have a baby so it’s not so hard making a story about that. Caitlin is at university(guy-trouble), and lets be hounoust, it’s never hard to find a story-line that involves Julie Cooper…
I really think that a fifth season would be quite succesfull. If you just read all the responses just on this blog, just imagine how many people didn’t find this, or don’t have a computer, or never thought about looking it up on the internet.
Makers, actors, I ask this as a favour for me and probably millions of other fans…
Make a new version or even better a new season about the OC.
I miss the characters and I miss the actors behind the characters(I think you can feel who they are by watching their performance).

Maybe that will make us ablo to get over our great loss :p because I recon the makers are deaf and blind. They should MAKE ANOTHER SEASON damned. Why is this so hard?
