Gossip Girl Fan Site Launches, GossipGirl.tv

I know alot of us have had a void in our life after The OC went off the air but you might want to perk up and take a look at a new show, Gossip Girl that is premiering September 19th on The CW. The show is from the man, Josh Schwartz who brought us The OC. He is teaming up with a few others to bring The OC to the upper east side of New York. The show is set in NYC and follows the lives of several wealthy teens and a few parents.
Just like I did for The OC with TheOCshow.com, I have started a fan site, GossipGirl.tv for Gossip Girl. The site is brand new with tons of photos and info to be added but the forums, photo gallery and cast bios are up for you to play around with. Ya this show seems cool but its not Adam Brody or Benjamin Mckenzie. You cant have another nerdy jewish kid in a different show that is done by the same guy…so i know it wont be nearly as good but ill watch it.

Honestly, I think Gossip Girl is pretty damn good compared to the OC. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED the OC, but GG is based on actual people and events. After seeing the premiere, I could NOT believe the lives of these highschoolers. To imagine a woman who actually made a real blog about teens like Serena and Blair amazes and intrigues me. I’ll be an avid viewer form beginning to end. I ALSO have been working my butt off collecting as many vids from YouTUbe as possible for GG fans, so check it out. so since this is suppose to be about gossip girl AND the oC… lets actually talk about that. Was it just me or did anyone else notice how they tryed to put some of seth into dan?? i mean obviously no one can ever ever ever replace our dear seth but they tryed. not sure if thats a good or bad thing. they def had the whole oc thing going in this show. the mucic was good and the way they did the shots and stuff. its worth watching but yes, nothing ever will compare to the oc.
(im still getting people hooked on the oc even tho its done! i think thats saying something about our incredible show)
to be honest with you guys I like the show and sure it’s not like the oc. Thats what makes this show alot different from the oc, and if you guys give it a chance you guys might like it too. Just give it a chance. i don’t think Dan is like Seth. The one good thing about Dan is that he is for real and not a phony. Most of the other people are phony, he won’t fit in because he is for real. Now maybe his lttle sister might get caught up in all of that, because she is young and naieve. Not saying Seth was a phony, because he wasn’t. Everyone loves Seth he is sweet and a bit nerdy but we love him. I am just saying, I get what you are trying to say about Dan. He is a little like Seth. But different. I just find Dan the one I like on this show. He says it like it is and the hell with all the rest of them. He doesnt need their phony bull shit.
Surprisingly Gossip Girl was good - at first i didn’y know whether it was mor aimed at girls but i gave it shot and it was great- The Gossip Girl manipulates everything to cause fights- the scandal storylines are amazing - This may in time give The OC a run for itz money:)

basically..although gossip girl is no “OC”..its pretty damn good if i do say so myself. as an avid reader of the gossip girl series i figured schwartz had a tough pair of shoes to fill but so far so good. although the stories dont match up exactly the tv show has caught my interest and i loved the casting for it. maybe its not the OC but since that show no longer exists on present TV other then re runs, we all might as well get a new show to follow each week. and even better from the father of the OC…im rather happy about it =)

Honestly, as much as people say how great Gossip girl is i don’t see what is so great about it… I mean I still watch it but it is nothing like the OC and if Josh S. quit writing the OC for gossip girl then i’d be very disappointed because the OC deserved more than 4 seasons, or at least a spin off with Mischa Barton. I’m just giving my opinion and honestly I don’t think gossip girl should get another season I think the OC should be brought back, if you agree with me leave a comment.

Some of the people here want a spin off.But think about it how the show ends.If they didn”t kill of Marissa(Misha) the show could have had a seoson 5 and 6,but without her it’s not interesting.I grew up with The O.C and it’s my favorite show,but still since they killed Misha of the whole seoseon 4 except the first 3 or 4 episodes was boring.

Whats the point Schwartz, of making a new show like the OC when the OC was the best you should off kept it going and the stupid thing you done was kill of Marissa you could of had such a story with her. When she died the whole season 4 went to pot i just cringe all the way through every episode apart from when Ryan fell off a ladder and realised he went back in time and thought that Marissa was alive in this world and went to find her i was so happy thinking that he would wake up and it had all been a dream and Marissa was in hospital in a coma but comes round and then eventually gets back with Ryan. They looked such a good couple the chemistery between them was amazing and you ruined the show now you are regretting it so your puttting together another which obviously wont be the same without Ryan, Marissa, Seth, Summer and the other s.
At the end of the day Dallas had some1 die (Ewin) and then the whole season was made into a dream and thats what you could do with Marrisa’s caracter what Ryans life would be like without Marissa. Taylor is not the girl for Ryan she is annoying and makes the show look comedy only Seth can bring that to the show coz he has caracter not Taylor. Get something right Schwartz.
Come on Schwartz get your FINGER OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone on here thinks the same.

I’ve been watching gossip girl from the very first show…..and I thought it was really good….i would watch it very week. And a few days ago i went shopping with my sister and we bought all seasons of the o.c….i’ve watched the first 4 shows of the first season and I now know why my sister loves that show……Now that i under stand from the very first detail ……I’m hooked up to that show. And by reading your comments i can see some like the o.c but still like gossip girl and others like the o.c but won’t give gossip girl a chance cause there O.C FOREVER. I understand you now…and by watching the O.C. i don’t know if i going to watch gossip girl ever again, i mean gossip is a great show but the O.C is like amazing…..it’s true and fuck’in cool……gossip girl is part true and not very true.lOL. Right now i think i’ll give up gossip girl…..seeing the details….it’s not very the way i thought it was. Looking at it ….you’d think Wow this show is great…and looking into the details you think it’s still great. Then you watch the O.C. and compare the two shows and think to your self ‘WHAT THE HELL I WAS THINKING…..GOSSIP GIRL IS ONLY GOSSIP’ and O.C. is more then that….truly i love gossip but something else i like is the truth…..and to me ……O.C. won my heart.
P.S. now to you to see and compare ….who’s gonna win your heart GOSSIP GIRL or O.C. =)

I read that they are doing a spin of the oc back on starring Katlin and Julie seing how Katlin is finding it living with her mum. Gordon Bullet and Frank Atwood also will also be starring in the show. January 1st 2008 on fox. Go to www. tv.com and there it says it all.

i want the the oc back.i was looking for a show to watch and i landed on the oc and just 1 sec of it got my heart. and i go by gossip girl all the time and it doesnt compare to the o. oc rocks. and trying to put some seth in that dan so not cool. and gossip girl i didnt have any emotion and it is so boring i fell asleep like 4 min into the show.in the oc i would stay up till 10 at night just so i could watch it again. and watching the oc i would always cry i REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT WANT WANT THE THE THE OC OC OC OC OC OC OC BBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK NOW AND GET THAT CRAPPY GOSSIP GIRL OF THE TV BEFORE EVERYONE DIES OF WATCHING BOREDUM

LOOK …….people that are I luv the oc……ok i think we get it ……but don,t you think that the o.c is done. It’s like if you were two …..grow up. Buy the 4 seasons watch them as over as you want. I bought them and in 1 and a half week already finish season one. IT’S A REALLY GOOD SHOW……but…..the creations of the O.C. made a great and fantanstic show, But they decided to end at 4 seasons….I mean it can’t go on forever….. but it would be nice to have on more season….. i don’t know how it ends and i can’t wait to find out but it sucks that marissa is dead……because she is a fanstic character in the series and i think that Gossip Girl was copied by it but i think that you can’t replace the characters and the scenes and the details. The producers should put more energie into creating a 5 season of the o.c then into a new series that ain’t that true.

Josh Schwartz and his team didnt really have a choice.. but i say if they can , they get fox to transfer the rites of the show to abc or cbs. a channel that will really help it sucseed not like fox where the just cancell shows WHEN THEY get bored of them. When u watch the finale listen to summer when she is reading the newspaper and the comment about the valley. then watch the commentary on the episode. Then get back to me cuz its pretty much him takin a shot at fox. I am not making this up. He still wants another season. Well I assume that he does. I think the reason taht gossip girl wont last long is that its not a good show, it really is but that the channel CW doesnt carry the show to places where a main stream station does.

Sorry O.C addict…. i didn’t get back at you…i’M so busy with school and homework i don’t have alot of time watching the O.C. i’M only at second season…4 disc. But it sucks cause i watch every episode twice…first i watch it alone and then again with my sister….so i never have time to watch where am at. Thank god she’s in second season too. Gossip Girl was good to my eyes but the details show it sucks….GOD I LOVE GOOSIP GIRL give me a break….i know it’s your opinion and i respect it but BOY IT’S ONLY GOOSIP…THE O.C. is more then that…drama, and much more !

I just want to ask randomly are you a guy or a girl and how fuck’in old are you?????? I’m puzzled……and i think that gossip girl might be getting better if you say so but still i was hooked and before it became fuck’in more i watched the o.c. and thought what the fuck it’s more then gossip and way more better so i was hooked and said i will never watch gossip girl again. I lied! i did watch it but hated it and thought the details are wrong and the characters are just wrong and lost. And engery is lost in a new season and new casts and all…..but you can’t deny that the O.C. had so much potential…from the details, the characters, the events! There was so much action ( not that kind of action)….. the seasons were all impressive and tho i didn’t watch all i know that i going to enjoy them as much i enjoy watching the O.C. , THO I WAS DISAPOINTED in the 2 season 4 season 1 or 2 episode…. it wasn’t as good or maybe i wasn’t so much in watching it because i was heart broken. But i can say that in the 4 season Kirsten is going to have a baby because i saw the pisture on the box and i someone told me. But anyways i can’t wait to hear from you

Fan’s as much as myself & all the people involved in the show are deeply touched that you want to show to go on it’s all about business & we weren’t bringing in enough on it for the studio to offer a new deal look at the ratings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_O.C.) on this page & I think you’ll all understand that this is the reason it’s over. I want you all to think of the O.C. like highschool as much as you miss it there is no going back when it’s over it’s over. So now you all have two choice’s move on an go to college aka move on to something else or get stuck in a dead end job aka mop around & be depressed I’m as sorry as all of you that it’s over it was a great job but it’s over all of you will have to accept that.

Well anonymous O.C. Cast Member…i think that you can understand that we all love your show and that we would like to have a 5th season. But i think that some should move on because some are like O.C FOREVER and WE WANT THE O.C. BACK…..how much i would like to have it back…well it won’t bring it back. But i think that you and your crew can see we appriciate the show and would like more seasons but i guess there’s no way of changing your mind

Hey Sarah-Ashley I agree a fifth season would be great I’d love nothing more than to bring back my role as __________ but as you know in the end the year was 2012 The Cohen’s are happy living in Berkley, Ryan’s got his job in what I think is L.A. Seth & Summer have just got married & as for Frank, Julie, Kaitlen & Taylor who know’s where they are. As you may have heared Adam want’s a spin-off sorry to say this Adam but I don’t think you could support a show on your own (remember a spin-off called Joey disaster) you would need Ryan & Summer just to try to hold together a show, but Ben seem’s happy with what he’s got & as for Rachel I can’t see her working with you again I truely believe a new show would be great but but it couldnt be set in Newport O.C. again somewhere new with a strong Core-four shame mischa was killed off I’ll go on record saying this (Stupid move Josh just plan stupid).

OH it’s not a big deal but i did know some punches like kirsten having a baby and seth & summer bieng married. But what i can’t understand is why they killed micha, she’s like the main character (sorry seth&summer&ryan) but micha was having problems and the others followed like when she had a drinking problem and ryan was mad at her for that, she almost killed herself in mexico, she called her parents a ’slute & a thief ‘ infront of everyone at a party becuase she was drunk. Anyways there’s so much more to say but still she was the problem magnet and the three other main c. were part of it. O.C. is great but i couldn’t agree at the end of the 4 seasons of everything that happens like killing marissa. I know it’s to cause more trouble and more pain but still. Anyways chow.
P.S. how would you bring THE SHOW BACK TO ORANGE COUNYT?

Hello, O.C. addict. thanks for letting me know i was just wondering. Frankley i look and sound older then i am . people think i look younger then i am but because i’M seem so smart they think i’M older. Anyways i think that yes it sucks being hooked but i,M not really hooked anymore since school started i didn’t really have time watching it so i guess i’M not that in it anymore that sucks to. When i was watching the o.c. before i could watch 6 to 9 epiosdes in one day (i know sick right ) i would do only that in my day but now i got my life back school hw (sucks) and more. But i was disapointed in some episodes. One of my favourite is Chrismica.IN first season….it was so funny. Seth was kissing summer in the pool house and then Anna in his room! Then kirsten got drunk and when the turkey burned the girls came to the kitchen and saw each other saying ‘anna , summer , SETH’ IT WAS HARLIOUS the look on seth face and the girls. caleb was laughing. And when they opened the oven door the turkey looked really bad and kirsten didn’t feel to well.
Anyways there’s other episodes i like but none could bet the CHRISMICA …..it was so funny i didn,t stop laughing .

Addict yeah your right I could be a fake but I’m not my reason’s for staying quiet about who I am are simple pure self preservation I would love for there to be a new series of The O.C. & if there is one day I intend to be in it so yes I’m being selfish I’m trying to keep my character safe just in case they do get picked up for a new series.
& Sarah sorry to sound like I’m contradicting you but Your fav episode was actually two episode’s before Chrismukkah it was the thanksgiving one where Ryan & Marissa go to Chino. Summer in the Poolhouse Anna in Seth’s Bedroom yep Fun episode.
P.S. The Chrismukkah episode is where Summer dresses as Wonderwoman & Anna Gives Seth a Comic. It’s also the one where Oliver enters The O.C.
