Rachel Bilson “Summer Roberts”
“I like when I get to do things that really are embarrassing for me because it’s fun to make fun of yourself. I like the episode last year where at prom I got really drunk and fell off the stage and it was my first time doing a stunt, so I like to brag and tell people that I can do stunts because I got to fall off the stage, even though it was like a foot. The stunt girl did the fall… but I did a little of that.
“Oh, the Spider-Man kiss of course… the Spider-Man kiss was so cool. I remember reading it when Josh wrote that script; it was really clever and it was really fun to replay that kiss. Adam, I think, threw up in his mouth a little bit, so the kiss wasn’t pleasant, but other than that it was a really cool scene. It was upside down.”

Melinda Clarke - Julie Cooper-Nichol
“As an audience member when Sandy and Seth had a sex talk, I just thought it was clever and those guys are just so talented, and as an audience member I loved to watch that scene.
“I think it defines many high-schoolers. It will be the thing that defines their high school years. Anyone who was a freshman in 2003 and is a senior now. So this defined their years. It will be interesting for a whole generation to remember when. In the early decade of 2000 this show will be remembered as a hip pop culture reference of this time.”
Peter Gallagher - Sandy Cohen
“I guess my favorite moment was the day I read the pilot script. That was very exciting. And I certainly loved singing in the second season. And you know, frankly, I have had so many good days on this show; I loved going to work; I love the cast; I love this crew; I love our directors and every day on this set sure beats working in a coal mine.”

“One of my favorites I got to do was the scene when I got to hit Melinda on the head with a pedestal. That was really fun to shoot.”
Benjamin McKenzie - Ryan Atwood
“The first day of the pilot was kind of nutty. I showed up in the Valley and we were shooting Ryan at his old house with his mom. I think McG stopped by for like two seconds… ‘You’re going to be great, you’re going to be great’ and then ran away. It was cool. I think it was just me and Doug and I think Peter maybe worked a little with Doug Liman the director. And then Peter was in a couple scenes… it was pretty heavy stuff. It was kind of crazy. It was either sink or swim time; so thankfully it has worked out.”
Autumn Reeser - Taylor Townsend
“I liked shooting the college sweatshirt episode where we had this college sweatshirt party because we were shooting on the beach in Malibu at night it was a big bonfire. That was just a cool feeling because I never go to the beach at night. Basically whenever we got to go on location and shoot at the beach, that was always amazing to be hanging out at the beach all day working. We were watching dolphins go by and hearing the seagulls, so that was pretty neat.”

I hate to state the obvious but it was bound to happen after marissa left the show. NO she was not my favorite. Seth and Summer are… But I know you will all move on and move on well. Hope to see ya soon!!!
hey, i think that even if Marissa left, you can still make a good show like what you did for the last one. if you could have continue the show with ryan and the guy with the bike that looked like him, it would be exiting. maybe you can call it the oc 2 or something like that. i really wish there is a new oc.

I still think that the show should have re-runs of the show instead of cancelling the whole thing all together. This show is the best ever and I can’t believe it is ending even though I only started watching in December. I just cannot get over the fact that it is gone forever. I will miss this show, especially how every Thursday Schoolnight, my best friend would sleepover just so that we could watch The O.C. Just like Laura said, we will move on… but for now, I’m going to miss this show very much.
I looked forward to and watched every episode. I will miss this show every Thursday. Ryan Atwood was my favorite character. I thought the last episode was tastefully done. I hope the CW picks up a spin off of the show.
Been wathcing it since it the first episode. Only show i actually watched every time it came on. Kinda sad cause its like a part of me is now gone. Well thanks for a great show.

I watched the show from the very first episode and i was hooked for life. I actually got all my friends hooked on the show and it completely saddens my heart that the show wasn’t allowed to continue its full potential. Everyone of the cast members are great actors and actresses. Thank you for being on the show. The O.C. truely has left a mark on my life for the past four season. I wish and hope that someone somewhere will see how much the show was loved and how big its fan base truely was. But i guess thats only hoping right. well miracles could happen who knows.

I know we all loved the show! Trust me i know i did, so i think we should all write a letter or sign something saying we want the show back and maybe if enough people watch i could happen, i think it was a great last season and a FANTASTIC finale, but it kiind of went down hill when marissa died!

Um I think the last episode was just ok. I think there should have been something more for Marissa. I also don’t think they should not have done a fast forward on their lives. I wouldn’t want a cliffhanger but everyone knows seth and summer were going to be together forever. I am a huge fan of the show and I own all the seasons on DVD but I knew it was going down hill after they killed off mischa. How are they supposed to get over something like that? The writers could have done A LOT better. I’m going to miss this show though and now I have nothing to watch!
They ended the show early because the ratings dropped from 7 million viewers down to 4 million this year. Well HELLO thats 4 million heart broked people!!!!!! What about us? And what about all the people that TIVO the show and watch it later!?!?!?!?! I can’t believe it!

ive watched the show since the first episode, have every season on dvd, and really feel like i actually know all the characters. ive never b een more upset there will never be anything to replace or top the oc and i will miss it so much you cant even imagine. i love you all and wish you the best of luck!

I am really sad to see this show go away. I cried very intense tears at the very end tonight. I have every episode on DVD. In fact every time a new season would come out, I would rush to the store within a week or two to buy it. I guess you would say that I felt like the characters were family and could not wait to hear the next thing out of Seth’s mouth. They always knew how to surprise you. I think this show could have been around for years to come and I was completely shocked to see it cancelled. This is not the first time I have had a show on fox that I loved dearly and they cancelled it too soon. Tru Calling had the same thing happen to it when it started coming on at 9, too. I think that was it’s problem, they got bumped to 9 and then cancelled. I think it is a great idea to sign something to get it back on. Until then I will watch my DVD’s and wait for the final fourth season to come out on DVD. I love you guys……I will always remember you.
The show had to end. I’m a huge fan of it but I could not imagine it continuing. Therefore, they should of shown more about the character’s futures.
RIP the OC, gone but never forgotten
This show was part of my life from the first day it came on. I have been with it from the start, and NEVER EVER missed an episode. Thats sad i know, but thats how good, and dedicated to it I was. I have heard so many jokes about me liking this show from my team mates that it’s not even fuuny. I meet so many girls through this, and my current fiance for the past 2 years. I graduated with the class of The O.C (”Class of 2006 Hoe”). This show will live on forever, because it’s part of this generation. This will live on as our 90210, and will go down in books for ever. I know my kids will be watching this show when I have them. So the cast I wish them well, and many wonderful years to come. I cant wait to meet all of the cast members one day. lol
Thanks to Josh Schwartz and the cast and crew of “The O.C.” for making this such a terrific show. It’s been a great four seasons.
And no thanks to Fox. I’m fed up with networks tanking terrific shows by changing their time slots in an attempt to destroy the competition.
O.C. fans, if we want an “O.C. 2″, or maybe a “Berkeley”, let’s show those who can make it happen how large the show’s audience really is. The CW had been considering picking it up, and they seem to listen to their viewers better than Fox, so maybe we can get them to rethink their decision. And strong DVD sales will help, so buy Season 4 on May 22.
FOX - WHAT ARE YOU DOING!! Why? This was such a great show - My Family and I missed the first three seasons on TV, and ended up buying the box sets of the first three seasons bacause we heard it was really good. We began watching, and immediately fell in love with ALL of the characters on the show. Our whole family became glued to the TV set - from our 8 year old to our teenager and my husband who is 35. The OC family became a part of our family - and I don’t know what Thursday nights will be like without them. If there is any hope for another season - or even a spin off… PLEASE FOX… PLEASE! During the last episode Summer mentioned the Valley picking up another 5 seasons U-know, after the comment about the real life people breaking up with the TV characters - (Summer and Seth.)Is this a hint FOX? We all hope so - in the meantime, good luck to the whole cast of OC. We love you Taylor!
OMG who cares if Marrissa died that was soooo long ago I love the show Please don’t cancel it. PEOPLE realy need to learn to get over Marissas death because thats probly why its been cancelled because lots of people stopped watching after Marissas death
We love all the cast ! Julie cooper was too great!! and taylor! And of corse seth and summer! I adore you two and am sad it didnt work out for you in real life! Kirsten you and sandy were perfect together Who ever did the casting did a super job but we are so freaken upset that it is over We were also kind of shocked! We will watch for spin offs Please!!! Thanks for an awsome show!!!! We love OC!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is to the OC…. Its amazing actors, writers, prducers and soundtrack. The people involved in creating this show have created something truely wonderful and im sure they are already planning a new series that will justify our thursdays once again! Until then Adam Brodys new movie looks like it has potential. Lets hope Josh Schwartz has something for us in the next pilot season.

i cant believe that its over. i agree that after marissa was gone the show was over, eventhough i think the show as just as good without her. i am the same age as the caracters in the show and alot of the eppisodes mirrored events that were going on in my life. it was an amazing show and like many of you im kinda pissed fox cancelled it. sure they lost some ratings, but that happens with every show when they change the time. R.I.P. O.C.
I have never cried so hard at a tv show…this last episode was so great. This is such a loss, I really feel like something close to me just died! I don’t know what I would have done with myself if Seth and Summer never wound up getting married. That’s the part when I really started to break down crying haha.
When Marissa got killed off in season 3, I really thought it was just a joke. I wasn’t sure how well the show was going to do after that.. it was extremely disapointing not to have Marissa in the show, but they survived very well without her I think. It’s good to hear that everyone is going on to bigger and better things.
All I can say is thank goodness for the DVDS!

to be honest when i watched the last show, i liked the beginning. i dont really like frank (not b/c he’s not cool like the bullet but b/c he’s ryans dad and julies marissa’s mom and its incest in a way) and i dont like taylor and ryan together (because taylor freaks me out!) lol. but seth summer = awww. so to see how it all ended, i’m impressed. i just wished that there were more viewers like to continue this legendary show!!!

The show was a part of our family life - the only show we watched together.
Now our boys are 21, 19 and 17 years old, have girls, go to university, live for a while in other countries… but THE OC was OUR show when the children still lived with us. I will never forget this happy time.

OMG That Was fucking amazing 2 eps were the best bit confusing with 8 month gap in between but it worked where was taylor at the end i didnt see her, seth and summer married, sandy and kirstan, daughter, catlin, and them together for the graduation, ryan and the kid but i wanted taylor i loved her the most, u need to either start it again with like new charachters or sumfin, i dont get why it had to end u must of had enough money just for some shows, please why why why i miss it already

I am an OC fan from the begining. I watched the very first episode and last night I watched the final, and it is honestly a little emotional for me. I am not a teenager- I have a job and an apartment and friends and family and a life, but this show was some sort of dependentcy I loved, and it will be dearly missed.
I honestly don’t know that pulling Marissa off the show ruined the show, but I think they had a chance to really get a new fresh start, and what we got was crap. Sorry, I hated this last season. I watched, but only out of loyalty. But, I AM glad that the last episode wasn’t its lately normal self by being teenie-bopperish and silly and not much of anything actually GOING on. It was tastefully done, and for the first time since Marissa died I cried and cried and CRIED! I CRIED! I wish Marissa had maybe been mentioned a little more in this last episode, I don’t feel she was done justice.
After all that bull up there, this show used to be *great* and will always be remembered that way, not just for its last season. Thank you to The OC and all its glory for a great trip.

It was a great ride OC. I was a freshman for the first year of 90210 and followed that show all the way till its end. I am currently a teacher/coach and have been watching this show from the first episode. Watching the show kind of gave me something in common with my students and athletes. I used this show as an icebreaker with kids. In their eyes I guess, it gave me some credibility. You will be missed OC. Good luck to all the cast. Spinoff????

Why did this show end, seriously? The show was originally about Ryan. He was the outsider moving to the OC. I can remember the summer of 2003 when they were advertising the OC for the fall. I was hooked on the commercials and became obsessed after the first show. Seeing Ryan walking through the house after the earthquake and also seeing the flashbacks brought back memories. I seriously thought it would beat 90210’s ten yeat stretch. I was wrong. The OC was a great teen show that brought out great messages. The show will be missed.
I’ve watched sense the begining sad to see the show is over. I think they really should continue some way. I’m sure there will be other shows but nothing like this. Just like we’ve all herd before, “All good things must come to an end”

I am a 67 year old GRANDMOTHER. This was one of my favorite shows. I was also a fan of 90210..Will miss both shows very much.

I am really sad to see the show leave, I am just a sucker when it comes to these kind of shows. I know that Marissa was I part of the show but it didn’t end beacuse of her, it ended becuase everone thought it wouldn’t be the same and stoped watching. The O.C. did good without her, the forth season was slow starting but it picked up and I am thankfull for that.
I really hope that the CW will pick up a spinoff of The O.C. Congras to the staff and crew for pulling off the best final episode ever!!!!!!

I agree with everyone. Funny thing is, I NEVER was attached to a show like this one. Somehow the characters connected with the audience. There is a little Ryan, Seth, Summer, Marissa, Kaitlen, Sandy, Kirsten, Julie and even Taylor in all of us.
Thursday’s was our favorite night for myself and my wife. What made it fun was it was not JUST about teen age angst or just about middle age stress. For me, I remember the parties in high school. The girl I had a crush on while at the same time connecting with Sandy on the stress of work and trying to find that place that make us all happy.
Once again a fun show will be replaced by some stupid reality program or a show that just has more skin and sex and NO substance what so ever.
I look forward to seeing all the cast in their new roles. I think I will rent “The Last Kiss” tonight.

Of all he TV shows i have ever watched in my 25 years of life OC Rocked the best! I was pregnant with my First Daughter when the First Season came out, and my 2nd Daughter in the Last Season!

I even got my Husband into watching… he would say he wasn’t interested, but seemed to always ask as soon as he got home from night school what happend lol

I now officially hate fox lets all get revenge by not watching drive!!! Seriously that show just looks pathetic. I woke up this morning and felt like my life was over now that the show has ended,like a part of it had left. I feel like someone close to me has died. I cried last night maybe more than i should have but who can help it when a great show comes along that youve been watching since you were 10 years old and you had to turn it down really low in your bedroom and watch it secretly because your parents thought it was a soap opera and it was to complex for your age. I will miss the characters and music. I don’t want it to come back however because it would just be weird now and pointless. I will however be buying all the dvds and murchandise if i ever see any!!! GOODBYE OC I WILL ALWAYS MISS THE FICTIONAL CONFLICTS YOU PUT INTO MY HEAD EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT.

It is a pity the show had to end. I must admit I didn’t feel the same about the last season because of Marissa being killed off. She was such a huge part of the show and it just wasn’t the same without her. Great show and a pity it only lasted 4 seasons maybe a spin off or if the producers could be encouraged to make a new season and entice Marissa back having the entire 4th season a dream (whilst she was in a coma) of what could have been if she dies.

Too bad that’s not going to work. The O.C. is the best show I have ever watched. It’s not like every other show, it’s special. But I think Josh Schwartz did a great job ending it so well, it really made you think what could’ve, or would’ve happened after.
FOX on the other hand, why cancel? I mean, come on! It’s the best show you had since…. since I don’t know when!! And you cancel!! While Prison Break - another shitshow that goes on forever, it’s not even exciting! They have breached out! It can’t be a show anymore!..

The OC has fans all over the world…I am from Romania…Why have you cancelled the show?I have seen all the episodes and wish that il will never end…It was the best show ever…I can’t believe it’s over…I am very sad…The final episode was amazing…I cried a lot…There will never be a show like this…Something is missing now…I don’t want to see the cast in separated shows…It won’t be the same…They were perfect for this show…If someone from FOX would read this page…BEST SHOW EVER!!! I live in the Netherlands and was always looking forward to saturday, the day on witch I was able to load a new episode. I’ve seen the last season on youtube and want to thank every one who made that possible for me. stupid dutch, they don’t know what is good for them
but anyway, thank you for a great show, I will not be able to get over it for now and i will miss it forever! you’ve all done an amazing job… it seriously feels like a part of me is missing, already…

I do understand why it stopped here. I don’t think another season would fit the past. i do think it’s a shame the last season didn’t contain more episodes. but anyway

I CANT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS OVER… THERE SOOO CULD OF HAD BEEN A 5TH SEASON WITH RYAN AND THAT KID ON THE BIKE! GOD! LIKE I DONT THINK I HAVE EVER SRYIED OVER ANY SHOW BEFORE EXCEPT FOR THAT ONE! OMG! WAT R WE ALL GOING TO DO ON THURSDAY NITES??? I DONT KNO Y IT IS GONE! THERE CULD OF HAD BEEN REALLY GOOD EPISODES IN THE FUTURE… I HATE THIS… IT SUXZ!
At the begining of the show I never watched I swore against this show and then my friend made me watch it and ever since… I have been like completely obsessed. Every thursday it was OC NIGHT!!! I have cried so much to this show it’s not even funny. The last episode I cried when julie was walking down the isle, when seth and ryan ask for the old house back, when the baby was born, when they got their house back, when summer left, MOSTLY when summer and Seth got married and when ryan found the boy in the same spot he was when sandy found him. I cried for like a half an hour afterwards and everyone made fun of me for it so I stopped crying then. About 15mins after I was talking about how greatly I am in love with the oc, I started to cry again cause its over. Thats right, I cried just because the oc is over… It is sad… The oc is the greatest show ever alive and I dont think I’ll ever find a show as good as the oc ever! That would be cool if the continued the oc later on in life with ryan and that kid… And I think Sophie would have a good story continue…. In my eyes, I believe the OC has just begun…. There is too much story behind it to stop it but I guess they have to in some kind of way… Well I guess we’ll all see what happens.
LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY NIGHT WATCHING THE OC… FIRST, I ATE DINNER, TOOK A SHOWER. My sister’s friend was over and she was uppsessed with the oc too, as well as my sister and i, and my mom likes it too.So at 8:00, While i was watching tv, I went in my sisters room to ask her when we were baking cookies because every night when the oc WAS on, we DID. As soon as I walked in, I saw her light was dimmed, candles were lit every where, and i saw my sister and her friend jessie sitting on her bed facing each other with their eyes closed, saying HEBREW PRAYERS, AND KISSING BOTH OF SEASONS ONE AND TWO. Then, we put our cookies in, then we went to put on the tv with all our stuff off, but not the candles. We watched 10 minutes of it, then put it on pause and went to get our cookies. Then we pressed play. We watched it, and since i talk during shows, i wasnt aloud to talk. As soon as the clock hit 8:59, somewhat 9:00, I went to the bathroom to get a whole box of tissues. Because we were histerical crying right from the start.I wet my whole shirt, full of tears. We all had major chills. We all kept looking at the clock and saying its over. When it was over. Her bed was full of tissues. When Ryan said, ” Kid, you need help?” We had haroble chills. When it was finally over, i kept on crying and saying, its over. Then, since the candles were lit for each character on the show to say goodbye, We said, for each candle, ” Goodbye, Ryan,” for example, then blew it out.We did that for each one.Then, I went to bed and they kept crying. Then, since it was recorded, in the morning we watched it again, and were histerical crying. Now, I watch the series finalle every single day.

I live in holland and here so far we’re in the midst of season 3. But i’ve watched everything till episode 11 of season 4 on the internet. And even though at first I thought it was the stupidest thing they could do to kill off marissa, I really apreciate it now. It gave the whole show more depth, the last episode of season 3 was heartbreaking…so I felt compelled to watch season 4 right away. The first few episodes of season 4 were also heartbreaking, it really felt like u knew marissa all your life and u felt so sorry for julie and ryan and summer. And I had heard that taylor would hook up with ryan and I was like: WTF? But now I really think that they are the coolest couple ever, come on..she made ryan funny! So to me with season 4 the OC just got a lot better. Now I really do not understand why they are killing a show that is still this funny, sad, crazy, original and just fun to look at. Why is it that networks always kill the good shows that really show good potential?
Come on, do at least a movie or a bad spin-off or something, anything!
I do want to compliment the cast though, really…GREAT job! Every single one of you…only to be described with : WOW.
Anyways it really feels unreal that there is nothing we can do to save the coolest show on the world!

The world would stop for my family on Thursdays. It did not matter where my teenagers were, but when OC came on, we all came together for all episodes. If one of them had to work, we would tape OC, and then all of us would watch it together later. The plots really opemed lines of communication for me and my teens. We became very open about the problems facing teens today. Thank you OC for helping me broach subjects with my kids that I might not have had the opprotunity to do otherwise. We have laughed and cried together through all four years. OC was our time together, nothing else mattered, even our phone knew better then to ring during OC! What a shame to lose our TV FAMILY. OC is why we had TV in our home. Goodbye OC, please don’t forget your loyal fans. You are loved by millions.

I’m really gonna miss the O.C. It was such a fun show to watch. I own all 3 seasons. I love Ryan and marissa, and Seth and summer. I also love the families. I didnt like season 4, it was either really stupid or kinda sad just thinking about marissa dieing. I thought the finale was very good. I’m glad taylor and ryan didnt end up together, they were gross. It’s too bad this show had to end, but if marissa never died it would still probably be on air and be really good. I’m gonna miss watching Ryan, Seth, Summer, Marissa, Sandy, Kirsten, and Julie … they were great : )

Im really mad that it ended. I never watched any other seasons besides this last season and I got hooked so fast. My boyfriend introduced me to it and we would T-VO it every week because we always were working on Thursday nights and we would always have an O.C night and get Cafe Rio and watch it. I watched this show from the pilot episode until the very end. I always thought the show had a lot to offer, and I definitely think the cancellation was premature. BUT, with that said, I am looking forward to what the cast members will be able to do now that the show is finished — I expect Adam Brody to excel in the indie-film area, and Rachel Bilson will definitely make a few good movies…the real question is: what will the hotness that is Benjamin Mc. (Ryan) do after this? Let’s just hope it involves a white tank top….so hott!!!

I’ve watched the OC from the begining. It was great b/c when it all started I was going through alot of drama in my life. The OC kinda became my saving grace. It was one hour a week where I could just forget about all my issues and such, and concentrate on these 4 teenagers in high school. I think I was prepared for the end last year when Marrisa died, (why couldn’t they have just sent her off on the boat with Jimmy as planned? then the show could have went on and on and on…) but I’m still upset to see it go. I’ll miss all you guys in the cast, and I wish you nothing but the best in the future.

i’m very sad to see the show end. at first i was not even going to give it a chance. i first seen it when i was, uh, in jail!! lol.. all the inmates where into it, so i had no choice but to watch, and i loved it! i loved autumn reeser in this season though!! she was great! i hope to see everyone go on and be very succesful in their carrers!!!
yeh the OC was my ultimate favorite. i starting watching it lke from the very first episode. every thursday i would have practice till 9 and i would get my instructor to let meh out 10 mins early so i could run home and watch it, even thow i was taping it. when i went on vacation we walked 5 blocks and went to a pizza shop and at 9 o clock i relized i had to watch the OC, so i made the pizza guy turn on the show for meh and then sprinted to the hotel during commerical, jus so i wouldnt miss it. i never missed an episode. and now i feel lke part of meh is gone. yeh its kinda sad. but have done sumthing almost every thursday for the last 4 years. its just upsetting. i cryed the whole last episode.
i think that maybe marissa could come back. like they could redo that nite so she wouldnt die. just get hurt bad. and play it out from there. lke season 4 “what if”. i hated marissa but she made the show interesting cuz taylor just couldnt take her place.
but you really shouldnt cancel the show for good. it was too good to completely end. and ti will be greatly missed.

I must say I was devistated when I heard that the O.C was ending! Not only were the cast and the story lines phenominal but the music selection for each individual senario was just perfect! In fact I think it would be amazing if somehow a Seth Cohen music suggestion site could be set up if there isnt already one! The programme introduced me to bands I may have not found otherwise! All in all I just wanted to say that I’m sorry to see the show end, I was soo entriged by the final series and the possiblities for future episodes were, but i also think the way it was rounded up was amazing!

What a show the OC was..!!
Newport was the perfect set, the music within the episodes made the show gripping and sad in some instances. All the beautiful scenes of the beach and the gorgeous women who played the parts of the cast.
The cast were proffesional and should be prowd of such a great programme!…Benjamen Mckenzie and Adam Brody, you are perfect together as two best mates. I hope your friendship is as good outside of the OC and i bet everyone wishes they had parents like Sandy and Kirsten Cohen.
